Durfee Christmas Craft Fair |

Does anyone remember when the December Craft Fair at Durfee High School used to be better than in recent years? Years ago, it seems the quality of vendor goods was much better.
Or if you're a vendor, does this event work well for you, or did you stop showing here due to poor sales, no money being spent, etc?

Does Fall River have a City Dump....? |

Is the Airport Rd Landfill run by BFI the city landfill? It is primarily wood and plaster. I will have a few loads of roofing material and that would be it. I am contemplating either getting a roll-off dumpster (have them pick up and drop-off) or buy... [Read More]

Now, naturally I think that I have a great site (I'm really not full of myself), but I'm just curious as to what you're all reading when you want the local scoop. I personally like A View From Battleship Cove. What do you think?

Influence-peddling and bias at the Herald News |

Read this story. Jim Mathes runs this program in the Fall River schools. That's how he gets paid. Mathes is Herald News Editor Lisa Strattan's live in boyfriend. So, Mathes picks correia as honorary chairman and cozies up to Nick Fscher.
Wonder why the Herald doesn't dig up any REAL stories about dirt in city govt. or the schools?
