So, some 'specialist' has determined that the Morton school cannot be rehabbed...IIRC another ‘specialist’ said that about the old Durfee High 
IIRC it was determined to be so dilapidated that it was no place to send our children to school BUT, later on after some work was done to the building it was used as a day care center!! I guess... [Read More]

So, as i was on my way home last night around 11:00PM I noticed that all the intersections were damp as if the road was condensating. As I got closer to home driving down Main St. I realized that it was not condensation. Simply because there were 4 distinct water residue lines on the road. It became apparent that obviously, the city is trying out alternatives to road salt.

Personally I would not pay $7.00 or more to buy a beer just to watch someone dance… dressed, naked or semi-naked. I don’t think that many people would but they have that right. Accordingly it is perfectly legal to open a business that caters to this form of entertainment based upon Federal Laws currently on the books.

A friend of mine forwarded this to me recently because he knows it pisses me off. I operate a small local business that has tried to do business with the Battleship store. Ever been in there? Every single item that they sell is made in China. Every T-shirt, jacket, sweatshirt, toy, keychain, picture, map, hat, model, etc. All made in China.
The buyer there will not buy anything made in in the U.S.A. because it costs a bit more. And now they are out begging the local... [Read More]
