A site like this only works if members contribute information, ideas, and experiences. Lurking is fine, but if the majority of people lurk, and do not contribute, it is just not worth the effort. Just a quick post about anything is fine. Somewhere you ate, somebody pissed you off, the price of gas..anything on your mind.(well....almost anything)
We're not asking for a dime. Just a bit of your time. Thanks very much for understanding.

Do you have a picture you'd like to post anonymously? Maybe a neighbor with a littered lot, government employees goofing off, illegally registered or parked cars, a restaurant with a filthy restroom, or just something you would like to make public. Just take a picture with a digital or cell phone camera and email it to Anonymous Pics
A little detail explaining the picture would be helpful, but not necessary. We will get it posted anonymously.

Thumbs down Battleship Cove of CHINA

A friend of mine forwarded this to me recently because he knows it pisses me off. I operate a small local business that has tried to do business with the Battleship store. Ever been in there? Every single item that they sell is made in China. Every T-shirt, jacket, sweatshirt, toy, keychain, picture, map, hat, model, etc. All made in China.
The buyer there will not buy anything made in in the U.S.A. because it costs a bit more. And now they are out begging the local business people for money? Please do not send them a dime ! If you've got a few minutes sometime, stop into their store and look around. It's worse than a cheap trinket shop on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Tell them they can shove their China crap right up their hypocritical, disloyal, greedy fat asses! Would it kill them to sell something that is made in the U.S.A. by Americans ?

Please pass the word to not support them, until they help support us !

I wouldn't give that organization a dime ! And when someone asks me, I'll tell them to "don't bother", it a big ripoff.

My rant here may seem like a hijack but it just magnifies the plight of the American businessman. If you don't sell the absolutely lowest priced items your competition will, and with help from the consumer (sales), put you out of business....(Think Walmart, that is part of their business paradigm.)

And I'll keep saying it again and again. The only way we can protect American business from these imports is a Value Added Tax. Virtually every other country BUT US uses them to protect domestic production of goods and to keep the balance of trade favorably to their economy. We used to use them though so where did they go?

Yet, the biggest problem is that the consumer doesn't care where the product comes from as long as it is cheap.

We , in this country, had a tax tariff system on imports. They were eliminated around the time President Clinton signed NAFTA ( North American Free Trade Agreement ), which opened the flood gates for more imported goods to enter the U S, causing manufacturing to diminish as we see it today.

Stafford men's suits were made here in Fall River. The operation moved to Mexico in 1998, causing 350 employees to look for other employment. J C Penny still sells Stafford men's suits, made in Mexico.

I don't want to drift off to other products. The point is still the same.
